Our Duck hunts are conducted over flooded rice. Several hundred decoys and little pressure from other hunters provides a quality hunt from our sunken blind sites in the Richvale/Nelson area.

The area is known for high populations of Pintail, Widgeon and Mallards.

Hunts include our large spreads of decoys, bird retrieval and professional duck calling.

Waterfowl Season:
The season is from Saturday, October 20th thru January 30th.

We meet at 5:00 am and hunt until 11:00 am.

I take up to five hunters a day. We’ll be hunting out of six man pit blinds located in the Richvale/Nelson area.

We also hunt out of final approach blinds in order to follow the birds. The weather is cool & dry early in the season but as December & January rolls around its colder & very wet.

Gear you'll Need:

Suggested firearm is 12 gauge with BB-shot thru 4-shot

Waders are a plus just in order to stay warm & dry.

Decoys:
You’ll be hunting over 300 to 600 duck decoys as only decoying birds will be taken for a spectacular hunt.

Hunting is conducted on many ranches spread out over Butte County with no surrounding pressure which lends itself to great waterfowl hunting and memories.

Bag Limit:
There is a bag limit of 7 ducks per day and 14 in possession.

Guide Fees:
Rates are $225.00/day (gratuity not included)

Our Policies (for all hunts):

Reservations are required of all guests, either by phone or in writing
A deposit of 1/2 the cost is required on all services
Deposits will be refunded if we are notified in writing a minimum of 45 days in advance of your trip date
Guide Fees are PAYABLE IN FULL at Time of Pre-Hunt Orientation / Registration
Prices are subject to change
We reserve the right to cancel and refund the deposit in case of emergency
Please make all deposits in the form of money order or cashiers check.
There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages before or during the hunt
Safety is stressed at all times, and no unsafe practices will be tolerated.
Non-hunting guests are welcome for an additional fee
